3. The "Bazaar Central" - Located in the Capital of Mauritius, Port Louis

"Bazaar Central", English word Market, is a must go place if you are in the Capital area. There you will find a lot of small shops where you can get a lot of "souvenirs" and gifts. Some shops' prices are exorbitant, so choose wisely.

Just go there, and grab a "Dholl puri" and an "Alouda". Dholl puri is a kind of bread with curry in it and Alouda is a drink best served cold!

4. Caudan Waterfront - Located in Port Louis, opposite to the "Bazaar"

The Caudan Waterfront is a shopping mall where you will get the top brands clothing, leisure games, casino, cinema, food court, just to name a few. This is the prefered place for tourist to shop. The prices are high though but it's fun to go window shopping.

5. Pubs, discos and bars

For those who like to party at night, there are loads of pubs, discos and bars around the island. The best places to party at night is in "Flic en Flac" (western coast) and in the north at "Grand Baie". "Flic en flac" is better than in """Grand baie because of the number of restaurant, pubs and discos found there. Best of all "Flic en flac" is more secure at night than in "Grand Baie".

In Port Louis, on the other side of "Caudan Waterfront" there is a nice hotel where you can groove and party. It is called "Le Suffren". It's a hotel but the prices are not that high. They have happy hour on all Fridays and Saturdays.
